Nvida’s new card news means price drops for its best ones. Compare them here.

Last week, Nvidia announced a new, powerful graphics card, the GTX 1080 built on the new Pascal architecture.

Not surprisingly, over the weekend we started to see price drops hitting the GTX 980 TI card, the current not-insanely-priced front-runner for Nvidia’s available line of cards.

I’ve dropped a comparison chart below so you can see how the GTX 970, GTX 980 TI, GTX Titan X and now the GTX 1080 compare. The 1080 isn’t due out for another few weeks, so we haven’t had a chance to dig into retail benchmarks. That means for now you’re going to have to either wait for the 1080 to come out on May 27 and tests to hit or take a slightly informed leap of faith.

What we do know is that the GTX 1080 is using the new Pascal architecture and is meant to deliver the power of the $1000 Titan X card for just $600 and and less power consumption.
