Overwatch: Purchased Xbox One Loot Boxes don’t show up unless you restart your console
More Xbox One problems, it seems…
Users are taking to the internet, reporting that Loot Boxes purchased via Overwatch‘s microtransaction system aren’t properly being credited to their accounts.
Stevivor’s in the same boat; after seeing a monumental loot drop given to a user after a purchased Loot Box, we bought 5 of them to compare earned Boxes versus paid Boxes. Unfortunately, the Loot Boxes wouldn’t show up, in-game, until we turned our Xbox One on and off.
Taking a very quick look at Twitter, the issue isn’t just with our account:
@PlayOverwatch Hey loving the game but I did purchase some loot boxes but never got them. Is this a known issue?

@PlayOverwatch I bought a loot crate package and didn’t get it. How do I go about fixing this?

@PlayOverwatch I just bought a bunch of loot boxes on my xbox one but they aren’t showing up. What the heck?

Most of the users above had to turn their console — not just Overwatch — on and off to have their Loot Boxes show up. Not the best functionality, but at least there’s a workaround for now, eh?
Are you having the same issue? Did a restart work for you?
Users are also reporting that they can’t invite each other to form a group or use Party functionality correctly on Xbox One.
Overwatch went live yesterday on Xbox One, PS4 and Windows PC.
