This weekend, Microsoft is making online multiplayer free on Xbox Live for the first time ever, the company announced today.
Any Xbox One or Xbox 360 owner will be able to play games online from June 9-12 without an Xbox Live Gold subscription, which typically costs $24.99 for three months or $59.99 for a year. The free weekend runs from 12 a.m. PDT today until 11:59 p.m. PDT on June 12.
People playing on Xbox One will be able to try Psyonix’s Rocket League free during the weekend. The game debuted on PlayStation 4 and Windows PC last July, and had a successful launch on Xbox One in February. Rocket League can be found on the Xbox Store here.
