Sniper Elite 4 will be released February 14, 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, developer Rebellion announced.
When Sniper Elite 4 was originally revealed in March, Rebellion expected the game to launch in 2016. However, with the developer’s Battlezone releasing in October as a launch title for PlayStation VR, the studio decided to delay Sniper Elite 4.
"Releasing two major titles in the same quarter didn’t seem like a sensible thing to do," Rebellion co-founders Jason and Chris Kingsley said in a statement.
"This is why we’re proud to be completely independent," they said. "Being independent means you can make changes when things are going really well, rather than just reacting when things don’t go to plan." Rebellion also released a whole bunch of new screenshots—and the game looks stunning.
