Los Angeles’s Hotel Figueroa seems to have made a mistake on its website. Instead of an actual picture of downtown LA, the site features a screenshot of Grand Theft Auto V‘s fictional city, Los Santos.
Reddit user Doupler spotted the screenshot on the Fig’s website and posted their findings on the GTA V subreddit. Eurogamer discovered that it appears the screenshot has been taken from the fan-created GTA Wikia–the screenshot in question can be seen in the gallery at the bottom of the page.
We’ve contacted Hotel Figueroa for comment and will update this article as we receive more information.
The Figueroa is a well-known hotel in downtown Los Angeles that has been adorned with video game art during the city’s annual E3 convention. It’s currently undergoing renovations, but it still featured a video game ad during this year’s show. Witcher developer CD Projekt Red had giant paintings that teased its Gwent game. The Figueroa has also been used to advertise GTA V.
