Nexis Games Hopes Wii U FPS Draw The Line Will Help Speed Up UCraft’s Development

Indie developer Nexis Games is releasing a Call of Duty-style shooter on the Wii U eShop in the hope that the revenue generated will speed up the completion of its Minecraft-inspired title UCraft.

Taking more than a little inspiration from Mojang’s phenomenally successful title, UCraft was intended as a Wii U exclusive but the failure of the game’s 2014 Kickstarter campaign forced its developer to bring the title to PC as well. The Wii U version was supposed to be released last year but the launch date was missed. The arrival of the real thing on Nintendo’s console means that UCraft could face an uphill struggle when it does eventually arrive on the Wii U eShop.

In the meantime, Nexis is pinning its hopes on Draw The Line, which is expected to launch on the Wii U, PS4, Xbox One and PC sometime over the next few months and has already gained an ESRB rating of "Mature". The game is confirmed to have a single-player campaign, an arena battle mode and multiplayer.

Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think, and if you’re still keen to get your hands on UCraft.
