The award-winning indie Event
is coming to PC and Mac this September via Steam and the Humble Store.
Influenced by sci-fi giants like 2001: A Space Odyssey and Solaris, Event
asks you to build a relationship with an artificial intelligence aboard a space station.
Essentially, you need to use real language to convince the computer to do what you need it to do in order to progress in the game. The AI, named Kaizen, is lonely and doesn’t want you to leave; not out of any sort of cold maliciousness, but rather an almost pitiable sense of loneliness.
The AI of the ship is its brain, but the ship on which you and Kaizen co-exist serves as the "body." The only sounds present in the game are the ambient noises of the ship itself. These noises are reactive, and some of the ship’s noises provide valuable clues.
