Destiny’s Last Xbox 360 And PS3 Patch Deploys Today

Bungie has confirmed that today’s patch 2.3.1.0 – which is paving the way for the next expansion, Destiny: Rise of Iron – will be the last scheduled deployment for legacy consoles – the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The statement on the official blog reads:

"Before the launch of Destiny: Rise of Iron on September 20th, there are a few issues we are fixing. This update will also be the last scheduled deployment for Legacy Consoles, excluding emergency fixes for future game-breaking issues."

Of course we knew this was coming when Destiny: Rise of Iron was announced. Bungie revealed it would only be supporting current-gen consoles, leaving the fate of the last generation’s legacy consoles in question.
