The Summer Games event is the first seasonal event for Overwatch, but it won’t be the last.
"This is our very first seasonal event in Overwatch," said Blizzard in a press release, "but there are more on the horizon. We’re not quite ready to reveal our plans, but you can expect to see more festive Loot Box items, maps, and modes in the future." As soon as specifics are, IGN will let you know.
Yesterday saw the release of the Olympics-themed Summer Games event, which adds new cosmetic items as well as a new Lúcioball game type and arena. The event will run until August 22.
