We’re less than a month away from the release of Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV. For those of you who don’t know, Kingsglaive is the companion film that was revealed during the Uncovered event a few months back, alongside the Brotherhood anime series. Given that the world of Final Fantasy XV exists across three different mediums, we thought it’d be useful to give you a quick primer on the way to fully experience Square-Enix’s decade-in-the-making story.
Good question. Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV is a companion film that exists simultaneously with the events of the game. Instead of focusing on Noctis and company’s road trip, the story primarily takes place inside the kingdom of Lucis’ crown city of Insomnia. It follows the drama of Notcis’ father King Regis and Noctis’ bride-to-be Luna as they deal with an armistice with the warring empire of Nifelheim. Suffice it to say, the peace treaty doesn’t last super long.
