You’ll never play alone.
Konami has announced it is now an “official partner” of Liverpool Football Club, and PES 2017 will feature a number of elements based on the squad and Liverpool facilities.
“We will get unrivalled access to work with Liverpool F.C. to ensure their players are brought to life in our products, and will also work together in future promotional partnerships as well,” said Jonas Lygaard, Senior Director of Brand and Business Development at Konami Digital Entertainment B.V.
Konami says the new partnership will mean the in-game side “will truly replicate the team’s overall and individual playing style and those of its players.” The club’s kits will be fully replicated, the team’s anthem You’ll Never Walk Alone will be in the game, as will the stadium Anfield, which will be made available to all players in a forthcoming free update.
In the myClub mode, Konami will run special promotions where players can get access to Liverpool legends to add to their teams.
PES 2017 is due for release on September 13 in the US and two days later in the UK. IGN’s preview says it feels very similar to last year’s game, and that’s a good thing.
