The official consumer version of the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset has finally got a Europe and Canada release date.
Four years after the first Oculus Rift developer kit pre-orders went out in 2012, the cellophane will be being pulled off the consumer version’s box in Europe and Canada on September 20.
To partake in said satisfying peeling, if you live in Europe you will first have to part with £549 / €699. The press release did not detail pricing for Canada.
Oculus has announced that those wishing to pre-order the headset can do so immediately, and has included a list of retail partners that includes Amazon, John Lewis, Curry’s PC World, GAME, and Best Buy.
