Music streaming service Spotify has launched a gaming hub filled with gaming soundtracks and curated gaming-themed playlists curated by personalities such as Sean "Day9" Plott.
Tracks include songs from games including No Man’s Sky, Fallout 4 and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, with more to come. The lists can be viewed on the Spotify website. The new gaming category is now available for Spotify across all its platforms: iOS, Android, desktop and PlayStation.
Spotify first launched as an app on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Xperia mobile devices in March 2015. The app is titled PlayStation Music, and replaced the Music Unlimited app. On PS4, are able to stream Spotify music while playing games. A special "Spotify Connect" feature is also available through the Android/iOS Spotify app, allowing PS3 and PS4 users to control the music that gets played on their console remotely.
The Spotify app can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store for free.
