Narcos Season 2 Trailer Asks, “Who Killed Pablo Escobar?”

The second season of Netflix’s crime drama Narcos premieres in two weeks and now the streaming company has released the latest trailer. This one is even more intense than the first, showcasing the manhunt for Medellin cartel boss Pablo Escobar, who is now out of jail and on the run.

The trailer is titled "Who Killed Pablo." As the video shows, Escobar had a number of enemies, including the DEA, rival cartels, and police. In real life, Escobar was killed in a 1993 shootout and this new trailer alludes to the fact that the Colombian drug kingpin’s days are numbered. "This wasn’t just a manhunt; this was a war," the actor playing DEA agent Steve Murphy says in the video.

The show, the first season of which debuted in 2015, is based on true events and stars Wagner Moura as Escobar. Boyd Holbrook (Gone Girl, Milk) Murphy. A lot happened in the first season involving drugs, murder, and politics, culminating with Escobar’s eventual phony imprisonment.

Season 1 garnered a positive critical response, sitting at a 77 on GameSpot sister site Metacritic.

Narcos Season 2 starts streaming exclusively on Netflix on September 2, at which time all 10 episodes will be available.
