The Xbox One may be second-placed in the console war but it’s gotten a lot better over the last few years. We have seen a number of awesome games come to the Xbox One and this year was no exception. You may have a hard task to decide which games to get this fall on the Xbox One but we have made this decision easy for you. The following three games are worth your Xbox One collection.
Gears of War 4 (October 2016)
If you had to buy just one game on the Xbox One this year, it has to be this one. This is the one we have been waiting for since the Xbox One launched almost three years ago. Last year, we saw Halo 5: Guardians, which we loved and this year it’s Gears of War 4 (GoW 4) that’s set to be the biggest Xbox One exclusive of 2016. Check out the trailer, set to the tune of Disturbed’s cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s “Sound of Silence,” below and you’ll see why:
The Coalition developers have strived to deliver the best GoW experience on the Xbox One that will bring back longtime loyalists and a new generation of gamers. In fact, this is a new Gears of War set 25 years after Gears of War 3 and you are in control of JD Fenix, son of previous protagonist Marcus Fenix. We don’t think you’ll miss Marcus after watching the trailer and the best part is he does make an appearance in the game. This time, it’s about JD to honor his father’s legacy and it’s up to you to make sure he does. If you plan to get the new Xbox One S console this year, then you should know Gears of War 4 will take advantage of its HDR (high dynamic range) capabilities, which should refine and smoothen the gameplay experience even further.
Titanfall2 (October 2016)
The original Titanfall, published by Electronic Arts, was an Xbox One exclusive but its sequel is also coming to the PS4. If you enjoyed the original Xbox One blockbuster, than you’re bound to enjoy its sequel to. This time, there is a single player campaign included along with the return of the multiplayer that made the original such a success. Check out both trailers below:
The above trailers are enough to get any shooter fan pumped up. It’s about the union of man and machine, and surviving against the toughest enemies coming your way. This is where Titan meets Pilot and developers Respawn Entertainment are looking to deliver an experience like never before. For fans of sci-fi shooters, Titanfall 2 is your best bet this fall unless you’re also excited about Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
ReCore (September 2016)
Who says Xbox One lacks exclusives in 2016? You have the epic Gears of War 4 releasing in October and you can play ReCore next month. This is one of the most hyped exclusive on the Xbox One this year. It’s developed by Armature and published by Microsoft Studios. ReCore is a work of art from legendary creator Keiji Inafune of Mega Man fame and the creators of Metroid Prime. It’s also releasing on Windows 10 PCs and it’s a fun action-adventure title that’s bound to get addictive quite quickly.
