Dark Souls, Zelda, and FF7 Books Kickstarting Translation

Third Editions has published at least one book every month in 2 years.

French publisher Third Edition Books is working to translate its large library of gaming-related books into English, with topics ranging from Pokemon to Silent Hill to Metal Gear.

The first three books they’re working to translate, with the help of a recently launched Kickstarter, dive deep into the worlds of Zelda, Dark Souls, and Final Fantasy 7.

Zelda: Archive of a Legendary Saga, written to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Zelda, takes a look at every game in the series. Dark Souls: Beyond Death chronicles the “epic success story” of the Souls series, from Demon’s Souls to Dark Souls 2, but also examines its lore and mechanics. Finally, The Legend of Final Fantasy VII is an analysis of the classic JRPG, in celebration of its 15th anniversary.

Got feedback on our player?

We want to hear it.

If Third Edition can fund the translation of these three best-sellers first, they plan to translate more as stretch goals. According to its Kickstarter, Third Edition has published at least one book every month for the last two years.
