“We cannot tacitly endorse these actions by supporting Luckey or his platform”
The developer of virtual reality puzzle game SuperHyperCube said today it won’t bring the game to Oculus Rift, citing the political actions of Oculus co-founder, Palmer Luckey.
Developer Kokoromi and publisher Polytron issued a statement today saying that, in the wake of reports that Luckey funded a pro-Donald Trump "shitposting" organization called Nimble America, they "cannot tacitly endorse" Oculus’ platform.
Kokoromi and Polytron posted the following statement to Pastebin today:
You may have seen the news yesterday that ties Oculus Founder Palmer Luckey to Nimble America, a Trump-endorsing organization Luckey started to defame Clinton via "the power of Internet memes".
In a political climate as fragile and horrifying as this one, we cannot tacitly endorse these actions by supporting Luckey or his platform.
In light of this, we will not be pursuing Oculus support for our upcoming VR release, SUPERHYPERCUBE.

SuperHyperCube is coming to PlayStation VR as part of the virtual reality headset’s launch lineup. The first-person puzzler has been touted as exclusive to PlayStation VR at its launch, though it’s not clear what other platforms Kokoromi and Polytron planned to bring the game to prior to today’s announcement.
