Playtonic Games rolled out a parade-of-characters video for Yooka-Laylee today, introducing us to more than just Laylee and Yooka. In fact, the game’s probably six months away from launch, and they’re already talking cameos.
That begins with Shovel Knight, who is approaching John-Ritter-in-the-early-1980s levels of overexposure. By my count this is his sixth game cameo (including an amiibo). But ho-a-yo-a-ho-ho-ho-you only live once, I guess.
By the way, is that a snake named Trowzer? Yes. Yes it is.
Yooka-Laylee, the love note to 3D platformers by developers who worked for Rare, makers of Banjo-Kazooie, is due to launch for PlayStation 4, Wii U, Windows PC and Xbox One sometime in March.
