Following several teases from Beyond Good & Evil creator Michel Ancel, Ubisoft has officially confirmed a new game from Ancel in development at its Montpellier Studio.

“We are delighted to confirm that Michel Ancel is currently working with the Ubisoft Montpellier Studio on a new Beyond Good & Evil game,” a post on the official Beyond Good & Evil Facebook page reads, alongside one of Ancel’s previously released pieces of concept art featuring a man and a small pig many suspect is a young Pey’j.

We want to hear it.

Earlier this week, Ancel posted another piece of concept art, not only teasing what appears to be a member of the Mammago family, but also and confirming the game has entered pre-production.

Whether or not the title is a sequel, prequel or reboot of Ancel’s 2003 game remains unclear, despite Ubisoft having teased what looked very much like a proper Beyond Good & Evil followup back in 2008.

In addition to this new Beyond Good & Evil game, Ancel is at work on a new indie project called Wild, which, according to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, will benefit his next game for the publisher.
