Cobra Mobile – the developers of the long-running iBomber series – have a bit of a departure from their typical output for players coming out on November 24th. Cobi Hoops is a competitive basketball game for iMessage. You’ll be competing against your friends, trying to score more baskets than your friends. This isn’t just a typical basketball game, as trick shots are legal, and alternative basket setups will come into play. This all takes place in a landscape with some gorgeous pixel art. Cobra Mobile’s in-house pixel artist was responsible for the pixel art, which recalls the great pixel artist Paul Robertson’s style and animation. Seriously, this looks fantastic:
I haven’t spent much time playing iMessage games, but it’s time to get some friends…and then play Cobi Hoops against them. Cobi Hoops will be free with an IAP to unlock more content. As well, Cobra Mobile’s got a new, bigger game, in the works that you’ll be hearing more about soon, Red’s Adventure. Here’s the first teaser for the game:
