Thanks to a large team of talented modders, Fallout: New Vegas is getting a new total conversion known as The Frontier.
As shown in the feature showcase above, The Frontier will include new weapons, monsters, and environments, as well as features like voiced characters, drivable vehicles, space flight, and on-the-fly weapon modification.
The Frontier will tell the story of General Blackthorn of the New California Republic, as he attempts to oust President Kimball over his perceived poor leadership in the war against the Legion. Blackthorn is exiled to The Frontier, where he must fight his way back to the Mojave to exact his revenge, and claim what he believes to be rightfully his.
The new assets created for the game in The Frontier look impressive, and seem to fit well with the feel of New Vegas. They also clearly take inspiration from other properties such as Mad Max and Firefly.
The team has opened a Discord channel to discuss the development of the mod, open to anyone with an interest.
