Capcom makes Marvel vs. Capcom 4 official
It’s Marvel time! Capcom announced a new entry in the Marvel vs. Capcom series at PlayStation Experience today. Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is coming in 2017.
The game’s debut trailer showcased a handful of characters from each side, including series mainstays Ryu, Mega Man and Iron Man and Marvel vs. Capcom newcomer Captain Marvel. First gameplay footage of Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite will debut at this weekend’s Capcom Cup tournament.
PlayStation’s Shawn Layden also announced that the previous entry, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, is coming to PlayStation 4 today. The fighting game will be available digitally from the PlayStation Store.
Polygon reported on the new Marvel vs. Capcom earlier this month. Our sources indicated that the game would draw upon Marvel’s cinematic universe and forego the familiar mutants that have been a part of the crossover fighting game franchise for 20 years.
