Watch Super Mario Run Creator Draw Mario on IPad Pro

Sitting on a couch with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto drew a freehand sketch of everyone’s favourite head-bopping plumber to celebrate the launch of Super Mario Run on iPhone and iPad.

The video below shows Miyamoto’s progress in fast-forward, a direct output from high-end iOS digital painting app, Procreate.

This isn’t the first stop on Miyamoto’s promotional tour for Super Mario Run. He recently performed the Mario theme alongside The Roots on The Tonight Show, and in an interview said that Super Mario Run wasn’t originally intended to be a free-to-play game.
