Official XCOM 2 Mod, Long War 2 Announced

Long War 2, an official mod for XCOM 2, has been announced for release on PC.

In a post on the game’s official site, Firaxis Games revealed the upcoming mod, which is being crafted by the modding team behind XCOM: Enemy Unknown’s Long War total-conversion mod.

The team, previously known as Long War Studios, has been renamed Pavonis Interactive. According to Firaxis’ announcement, the studio, which was hired to create launch content for XCOM 2 last year, “has been working on something ambitious,” details on which will be shared “in the coming weeks.”

The Long War team is responsible for a number of post-launch mods for last year’s critically acclaimed strategy game, including the Perk, Laser and Alien packs.
