In the United States, Pokemon Go was blamed for car wrecks, for example. Developer Niantic even implemented a speed limit warning into the app after release.

In addition, there’s also the fact that Pokemon Go relies on Google Maps, which is blocked in China.

Pokemon Go was the most downloaded app on Apple’s App Store last year. Niantic also recently released the game on the Apple Watch.
