Fire Emblem Warriors confirmed for Nintendo Switch

Footage shown during press conference

Nintendo confirmed that Fire Emblem Warriors would be available to play on its newest console, Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo showed brief footage of the Koei Tecmo game at the conference. Nintendo did not confirm whether the game would be available at launch. Koei Tecmo recently worked with Nintendo on Hyrule Warriors. Hyrule Warriors was released in 2014 for both the 3DS and Wii U. Koei Tecmo confirmed in April that it had software in development for the Switch, when the system was still being referred to by its codename, the NX.

Along with Fire Emblem Warriors, Nintendo confirmed that Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Dragon Quest Heroes, Skyrim and a few other games would be available on the Switch. Nintendo is also releasing a collection of mini-games, 1 2 Switch, that utilize the Switch’s Joy-Con controllers.

The Nintendo Switch will be released on March 3 for $299.
