New Square Enix RPG Announced for Nintendo Switch

No release date. Expect more details in the “future.”

Nintendo announced a new Square Enix RPG for its forthcoming console, the Nintendo Switch. The game is Project Octopath Traveler.

Few details were released about the new Nintendo Switch title, though some early gameplay was teased during the console’s live stream presentation. The Project Octopath Traveler world “boasts unique graphic style and sense of scale.”

There’s no release date yet for Project Octopath Traveler, though new details were promised in the “future.”

This is one of several RPGs announced for Switch. Dragon Quest Heroes 1 and 2, Fire Emblem Warriors, Shin Megami Tensei and Bethesda’s Skyrim are all coming for the new console.

Nintendo Switch will launch globally on March 3, 2017 for $299.99 USD and 29,980 yen. This announcement came during Nintendo’s Switch Presentation. Pre-order is currently available.
