Rockstar have updated the background scripts to the game, leading to many players being booted from the game and being informed that an important update would need to be performed.
The new changes were performed ahead of the release of the last part of the GTA 5 Online Import/Export DLC, which is expected to arrive in the coming weeks.
The studio have been slowly working through a list of new vehicles to add to the game, which is set to end with the Dewbauchee Specter and Custom variant.
A new Adversary Mode is also likely to launch with it, called Pointless, the apparent aim of the game is to collect as many points as you can to have a chance of winning.
It’s unclear just when this new vehicle will launch, fans could see a Rockstar announcement as early as next week on the subject.
GTA 5 Online fans are also reporting in mass on Reddit that they have been receiving free in-game cash injections from Rockstar.
Lump sums of $250,000 have apparently been arriving in player accounts, along with a message explaining they were getting the money to help keep their criminal enterprise firing on all cylinders.
However, no one seems to know why they have been awarded it.
Some have put it down to a three-year anniversary gift from Rockstar, while others think it could be connected to their CEO achievements.
“Just got 250k myself on the PC. Hmm, weird. Expected it to be a rockstar joke, and find out I got banned too or something,” one gamer commented.
Another added: “I’m assuming it’s just some sort of loyalty reward for having played a lot lately, but I have never purchased a shark card. I can’t think of any reason I got this money except that I must have been chosen randomly.
“My loading screen said something like “here’s some money to keep your criminal enterprise firing on all cylinders”. Then I got a pop up when the game loaded.”
It follows the release of the new GTA Online Progen Itali GTB Custom, which costs over $1m to buy in-game and can customised away from Benny’s Original Motor Works.
“For the real movers and shakers of Los Santos, Benny now makes house calls,” a Rockstar statement confirms.
“Qualifying executives can purchase the Custom Auto Shop add-on for their Offices and do their customising from the comforts of their glass tower.”
