Super Bowl spot confirms Stranger Things’ second season premieres this Halloween

Mark it in your calendars

Stranger Things is set to return on on Halloween, a new teaser for the Netflix original series confirmed during the Super Bowl tonight.

Netflix first announced Stranger Things would be returning for a second season last August, and since then there hasn’t been too much information released about it. In the announcement trailer, the titles of each episode were listed. This led to co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer confirming each title hinted at what the episode would focus on.

Stranger Things is reportedly one of Netflix’s biggest series, although that can’t be confirmed because the company refuses to release viewership numbers. The series was passed over by 19 different networks before the Duffers landed a deal with the streaming service.

Since it debuted last summer, Stranger Things has been nominated for numerous awards, and just recently won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Ensemble in a Drama Series.

The second season will also reportedly explore Barb’s disappearance, one of the biggest questions fans were left with at the end of the first season.

Stranger Things is available to stream on Netflix now.
