Former Crytek boss will head up the new office.

Leslie Benzies, the former head of Rockstar North, has opened a third studio to work on his new video game project, Everywhere.

As reported by GamesIndustry.biz, former Crytek Hungary head Kristoffer Waardahl will lead the studio, which is based in Budapest and “already contains a number of veteran developers with triple-A, mobile and VR experience.”

During his time at Crytek, Waardahl worked on a number of projects, including Ryse: Son of Rome and Crysis Warhead.

We want to hear it.

The new studio joins two additional offices Benzies already has working on his Everywhere project, with one in Edinburgh and another in Los Angeles.

While details about the tentatively titled project—including genre and supported platforms—remain shrouded in mystery, we do know Everywhere will use Amazon’s free game engine, Lumberyard.

When Benzies announced Everywhere last month, he said he’s aiming “to create a platform where players can be entertained, and also entertain others while blurring the lines between reality, and a simulated world.” After working on some of Rockstar’s biggest titles, including Grand Theft Auto III, IV and V, as well as Red Dead Redemption and GTA Online, Benzies parted ways with the studio in 2016.
