6 Shots of a Gorgeous Horizon: Zero Dawn Cosplay

Horizon: Zero Dawn is finally releasing tomorrow, and has already been met with hugely positive reviews.

Good reception often comes with good cosplay, and this Aloy cosplay from Meagan Orzel is one of the coolest we’ve seen. Click right to see all the images:

The photos above were all taken by photographer Colin Sandeman-Allen, or The Kaigan.

Regarding her choice to cosplay as Aloy, Meagan said, “I was so taken by Aloy the second I saw the game announcement at E3 back in 2015. I loved the way Guerrilla Games designed a character that encompassed tribal aspects as well as mechanical accents.”

It took 3-4 months to make, involving a lot of particularly time-consuming hand sewing and weathering. She also said, “I had big ambitions for the bow, like making it able to break down for travel, while also having the same movement as the in-game bow.”

I came up with several rough ideas on how to achieve the arm movements before beginning the final build. I was so happy when everything came together and the final movement was achieved!”

You can find Meagan on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

There is an official guide for Aloy cosplay available as a pdf here.

Alanah Pearce is an Editor at IGN, but she’s a cosplayer, too! You can find her cosplays on Facebook.
