XBox Game Pass sets up a massive gaming library on your XBox One – JOE

For years, PlayStation owners have relished in their PS Plus account, but now XBox have finally announced their competitive subscription.

Xbox Game Pass is set to launch in Spring this year (so… any day now, really) and will give owners of the Xbox One access to over 100 games from day one.

It won’t be a streaming service, as you download the games to play while they’re still available on the pass, and you either finish them during that time, or if the game is about to be taken off the service, you can purchase the game for a discounted price to play or finish later.

The price is set at £7.99 per month (we’re guessing it’ll be €9.99 a month over here) and will feature new XBox One games as well as being backwards compatible with Xbox 360 games, so there’ll be a good variation with the likes of Halo 5: Guardians, Payday 2, NBA 2K16 and Lego Batman.

Perhaps even more excitingly, there’s going to be a whole lot of retro classics like Terraria and Mega Man Legacy Collection and (gasp!) Soul Calibur II!
