UPDATE ONE: The official Xbox Live Status page has now confirmed that there is a limited service that affects Xbox One, Xbox on Windows 10, Xbox 360 and Xbox on other devices.
They said the main issues that users are experiencing is sign in problems.
The latest update said: “We are aware that some members may be having problems signing in to Xbox Live.
“We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and we will be sure to provide you with frequent updates.”
Signing into Xbox One and the Xbox One: Poker Central is also affected by the outages.
In the past hour or so Down Detector has seen almost 1,000 new reports of outages on Xbox Live.
ORIGINAL: Xbox Live has suffered a spike in outages this afternoon on Down Detector with a surge of users experiencing problems.
It comes as other Microsoft services including Outlook are also experiencing issues this afternoon.
Xbox One owners have flocked to Twitter to report issues with the Xbox Live service.
But as of yet the official Xbox and Xbox Support Twitter accounts have yet to confirm the outage or explain what the issues are.
One Twitter user said: “Is Xbox live down for anyone else?”
Another said: “Why is xbox live kicking me out and asking for passwords. Is xbox live down?”
