Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor’s unique nemesis system helped craft stories outside of the main plot line. You had to kill your arch-enemy in the original game, but could your own personal big bad orc be making an appearance in Middle-earth: Shadow of War anyway?
In an interview with GamesRadar, developer Monolith was strangely cagey on the matter. When the subject of transferring old save data came up, Monolith Productions creative vice president Michael de Plater had to leave the room to check whether he was allowed to talk about it yet. He apparently was not.
