Comics imprint IDW is encouraging Xbox One owners to check out its roster with the launch of its console app and ten free collected volumes across a range of titles from Transformers and TMNT to Jem, Judge Dredd, and in-development TV adaptation Locke & Key.
Eight of the ten comics offered free through IDW Comics’ new Xbox One app have cinematic or televisual counterparts, though that’s not to say the content is the same.
And, as is often the case with these promotions, the freebies are either first volumes in larger series, or one-shots like Hunter S. Thompson adaptation Fear & Loathing and D4VE (though there we have sequel series D4VE2 and D4VEocracy.)
The remaining eight are the first volumes of Ghostbusters, Jem, Judge Dredd, Locke & Key, Star Trek, TMNT, Transformers: Robots In Disguise, and Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye.
