Episode 1 of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series [$4.99] has launched today, and it looks like Marvel has even more plans for its Telltale partnership than just the game series. According to a blog post today, we are also getting a five-issue prequel comic book beginning in July that will offer fans of the game an opportunity to learn more about this take on the Guardians’ adventures. Fred Van Lente will be writing the series and Salva Espin will be doing the art. As Van Lente points out, the Telltale Series takes place in its own separate series distinct from the Marvel Universe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Therefore, there are plenty of stories to tell.
