Zelda: DLC Details and Chest Locations

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the first Zelda game to include downloadable content (DLC).

The DLC will come in three separate packs, and is available ONLY in one season pass bundle for $19.99. This content includes both minor things, like supplies, to brand new modes and even additional story content and dungeons.

The DLC packs contain the following features – some of which have not been elaborated on yet:

EditExpansion Pass Bonus (Available March 3rd):

EditDLC Pack 1 (Available Summer 2017)

  • Trial of the Sword: A new challenge mode where enemies appear one after another. In this mode, Link has no armor or weapons, and must scavenge supplies while defeating 45 rooms of enemies. Completing this mode will power up the Master Sword to never break
  • New Hard Mode: In this mode, enemies rank up in difficulty even further, much earlier in the game – and are strengthened by regenerating health mid-battle and gaining increased detection. In addition, floating planks will be found all over Hyrule held aloft by balloons, and hold enemies and treasure.
  • Hero’s Path Mode: Players can now track everywhere they have traveled with Link on the map with a green line complete with a slider to track footsteps on a 200 hour timeline.
  • Travel Medallion: A chest in the world will contain the Travel Medallion, which will allow players to create a new fast travel spot where they stand – but only one can be made at a time.

  • Korok Mask: A new Mask that when worn will signal if a Korok is hiding nearby.

  • New Equipment: Eight other new pieces of equipment will be made available, inspired by previous games and characters that include Midna, Tingle, Majora, and Zelda‘s Phantom.

EditDLC Pack 2 (Available Holiday 2017)
