Update: Europe to get standalone dock with AC adapter and HDMI cable in June.
Update: Europe will receive a standalone Switch dock “accessory set” – including an AC adapter and HDMI cable – on June 23.
Announced on Twitter, the only crucial missing detail was the price. We have contacted Nintendo for comment.
At time of writing, Nintendo of America has not announced a similar set, meaning those in the US would still need to purchase a AC adapter alongside a standalone dock.
Original story: Nintendo announced that the standalone dock will begin shipping to stores this May during a Nintendo Direct presentation today.
Previously, the standalone Switch dock was only available as a replacement part on Nintendo’s online store. The dock will be sold for $59.99 USD, but it does not come with an AC adapter. That accessory can be purchased for an additional $29.99 USD.
That’s not the only hardware Nintendo announced today. The company revealed a set of Neon Yellow Joy-Con will be available on June 16, the same day that its new fighting game, called Arms, will be launched in the US.
