Mega Man creator’s studio now part of Ni No Kuni company

New name is Level-5 Comcept

The developer behind Ni No Kuni and Professor Layton purchased Comcept, the studio founded by Mega Man creator Keji Inafune, according to a report by Famitsu.

Moving forward the studio will be known as Level-5 Comcept, according to the report, which was translated by Gematsu.

“Although there are plans to close Comcept as it currently stands in the future, I will take responsibility for the titles I’m working on until the end,” Inafune said.

In the future, it sounds like Comcept, which is made up of about 15 people, will essentially act as Level-5’s Osaka studio.

The first game by the new studio will be an iOS and Android title called Dragon Colonies, due out in Japan next year.
