Studio Wildcard made the announcement on Twitter a few hours ago, confirming that the latest ARK Survivial Evolved update would be centered around bug fixes.
The development team will be posting full PS4, Xbox One and PC patch notes later on – as there’s still some work being done – which will go through the tweaks, QOL changes, bug fixes, new features and more.
“We’ve got a large update coming later today which will fix a number of bugs,” the statement reads.
“Two important bugs that should now be fixed is the rate at which Dinos consume food in water or in stasis.
“You should now see them consume just as much as they would have previously. When the next major version goes live on all platforms, you’ll see this change take place.
“To compensate for this, we’ve made some changes to the rate at which Baby Dinos eat food and you’ll find that they’re eating much less now than they did previously.”
As mentioned above, there will be a number of bug fixes made to the game, although it also appears that some new features will be rolled into this patch as well.
Studio Wildcard haven’t confirmed what this might be and could just be a reference to the changing game mechanics when it comes to feeding dinos.
ARK Survival Evolved’s full release date has been confirmed for August and the development team have already clarified that they will be looking to add new end-game features before that time.
It’s unlikely that these would be ready for deployment, and it stands to reason that Studio Wildcard would want to draw a lot more attention to them when they are ready.
The most recent major updates to ARK Survival Evolved added a heap of new content and four new dinos that you’ll run into while exploring the Island.
