Xbox Games with Gold July 2017 Announcement update and free games
Microsoft should likely announce their next batch of Xbox Games with Gold titles for July in the coming days, if not, first thing Monday.
It was fully expected that Microsoft would have announced the new Games with Gold July titles last week, as that would have corresponded with the same timeframe the company has typically revealed their new line-ups every month.
However, perhaps after a rather busy E3 2017, Microsoft failed to do so.interestingly, the last time Microsoft announced their new Games with
Interestingly, the last time Microsoft announced their new Games with Gold titles this late in the month, was this time last year, when they announced the June 2016 titles on the 28th.
For those unfamiliar with how this works, during every month Xbox Live Gold members will receive four new free games – two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360.
Typically, Games With Gold titles are available for a period of two weeks each, so it’s worth marking the dates down on your calendar to ensure you don’t miss out.
And don’t forget you can play both Xbox 360 titles on your Xbox One thanks to the console’s backwards compatibility features.
Plus, now that the Xbox One has a dedicated Xbox 360 backwards compatibility store, you can easily search for, find, and download these games should you forget to download them for free during Games with Gold.

Currently, Xbox One owners with an active Xbox Live Gold membership can download Speedrunners and Watch_Dogs along with Dragon Age Origins which is playable via Xbox One Backwards Compatibility.
Here is a quick reminder of the current Games with Gold June lineup:
• Speedrunners: Available June 1-30 on Xbox One
• Watch_Dogs: Available June 16-July 15 on Xbox One
• Dragon Age: Origins: Available June 16-30 on Xbox 360 & Xbox One
• DLC for Phantom Dust: Available June 1-30 on Xbox One
However, absolutexbox.com has also noticed earlier this week that it’s possible to grab Zoo Tycoon for free on top.
According to absolutexbox, the game can be found on the Japanese Microsoft Store. Make sure you’re already signed in to save yourself and bother, then just hit the big blue button to add the game to your account. You’ll get confirmation that it’s now yours to download and play. Easy peasy.”

Sure, it’s only Zoo Tycoon, but it’s another free game and who can complain about that.
