Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy: PS4 sequel talk as Xbox One fans ready for announcemement – Express.co.uk

The Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy has proven a big hit on PS4, having topped the UK gaming charts on the first week of release.

There were weekend reports that fans had been unable to pick up the trilogy, with the main problem being that the game had simply sold out at leading retailers.

And now further news on the subject has arrived, with Activision seemingly pointing out the chances of a new adventure as something based on continuing fan interest.

“We are experimenting with Crash,” Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg told Gamesindustry Biz.

This could mean going as far as a new title, although it doesn’t seem like any plans are currently in the works.

“We know there’s a vocal fanbase that wanted that to come back. But you never know if that is emblematic of a larger audience or just this niche, nostalgia-based community,” he added.

“So far, we are seeing some real passion for it, so that could lead to other things.

“Of course, we are always trying to find the next big thing. But our first priority is to make sure we are servicing the communities that we are already lucky enough to have.”

Meanwhile, it appears that Xbox One fans can start preparing for a new launch.

A leaked retail listing suggests that Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy will have a December 8 release date on Xbox One.

That’s roughly six months after the launch of the PS4 version, and means the N Sane Trilogy would be in shops for Christmas.

Indeed, as an Activision game, there appears to be no reason why it couldn’t eventually come to Xbox One.

Interestingly, the listing also features Xbox One box art, which further suggests that the leak could be legitimate.

While it hasn’t been officially confirmed by Activision, the likelihood that the games giant were planning on keeping this a PlayStation exclusive, seems extremely low.

Unless some major deal was put in place, Activision should be free to launch something in the future for both PC and Xbox players.

And it appears that Activision will continue to monitor fan-mood when it comes to bringing a new game to PS4, Xbox ONe and PC in the future, without risking creating something that nobody actually asked for.
