The Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta has been confirmed for all major platforms and now has a start time.
The multiplayer beta is on the way, available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Origin for PC in October.
There are different dates for those who have pre-ordered and fans who are curious to see how the game may have changed.
If you’ve already put money down for a copy, you’ll be able to play the beta early, starting October 4.
The beta opens to the public two days later on October 6, allowing for everyone to experience the new title.
The Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta runs through October 9, with EA also confirming some of the bonus content through pre-ordering the game – including Yoda’s Epic Lightsaber Mastery Star Card, which is only available while supplies last until October 9, 2017.
The games giant also gave a few details of what will be included in the new multiplayer beta, which can be found below:
“What’s in the multiplayer beta? You’ll be able to experience some of the best of Star Wars Battlefront II across iconic planets and into the far reaches of space.
“Get set to dive into Naboo: Theed in Galactic Assault. Join Republic clone troopers and Separatist battle droids in a wild melee on the streets surrounding the royal palace, where you’ll take control of some of your favorite heroes.
“But that’s only part of the story. Also included is a multiplayer Starfighter Assault battle (with more details to be revealed at Gamescom), giving you the ability to pilot a variety of the most memorable starfighters from Star Wars™. Keep your eyes open for even more surprises as the beta approaches.”
More is expected to be reveal closer to the beta run, although fans will not get the chance to try out the new single-player content included in the sequel.
Gamers who played the Battlefront 2 alpha during E3 have reported the use of loot crates in the game, which can be earned through credits you get through playing, as well as real money.
The new crates contain certain items, including Star Cards for customising your hero, Crafting Materials for upgrading Star Cards and more Credits to be used in buying more crates.
