June may have proved to be a bit of a quiet month for Xbox One Backwards Compatibility list, but July could be a lot different.
Microsoft have just announced their third new game for the program this week, with Super Streetfighter IV Arcade Edition being released today.
The Capcom title has over 22,000 votes on the official Backwards Compatible leaderboards, making it a much-sought after game.
Super Streetfighter IV Arcade Edition is the third BC game announced in July, following on from a month dominated by E3 and Xbox One X news.
June was actually one of the slowest months for Backwards Compatible announcements, with Microsoft revealing a total of six games.
Both Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and Call of Duty: Ghosts were among the launches, and Xbox One fans will be hoping more of the like will be revealed in July.
As usual, all three games should be become available in the Xbox library of those who bought them digitally on the Xbox 360.
Alternatively, the original discs can be used to directly install the game onto the Xbox One hard drive.
Earlier this week, Microsoft announced that both Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon and F1 2014 would be the next Xbox 360 games added to the list.
Both titles have under 3,000 votes on the official Xbox One Backwards Compatibility leaderboards and were the first BC titles confirmed for July.
Fans also have the chance to boost their Xbox 360 games library with this month’s Games with Gold offering.
Kane & Lynch 2 is currently available to download for anyone with a Gold membership, but only until July 15.
Microsoft will then switch out the classic title with swashbuckling adventure LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game, from July 16.
It should also be noted that these new titles will be available on the Xbox One X when it launches in November.
