Upcoming CCG ‘Fightlings’ Expands Its Soft Launch, New Battle Tutorial Video Released

In October of last year, we were introduced to Fightlings, a new card battling game that used the interesting approach of having you discover new creatures for your deck by going out in the real world and collecting resources in a similar fashion to Pokemon GO [Free], but without all that augmented reality Pokeball-flicking. The game soft-launched in the Netherlands at that time, and has been receiving frequent updates since based on early player feedback. Then just last week two new Fightlings trailers were released giving a more updated look at the game. Now, this week Fightlings has expanded its soft-launch into more territories and developer Thoughtfish has released this new video tutorial explaining how battles work in the game.

Alongside this expanded soft launch Fightlings will be running its first event from July 24-31. The event is called the Hidden Orbs event and you can find out more information about it on the game’s official forums. As for what countries the soft launch has expanded to? That would be Germany, Austria, and Switzerland joining the original soft-launch territory of the Netherlands, so if you have an iTunes account in any of those countries then you can take Fightlings for an early spin using the link below. We’ll continue to keep an eye on this one and should you choose to get in on the soft launch action of Fightlings feel free to share your thoughts in the game’s forum thread.
