Yesterday we got a press release informing us that WayForward has teamed up with Last Dimension to bring its magical misadventure Mystik Belle to consoles. However the Switch was not on the agenda; only the PS4 and Xbox One are getting this title at present. That’s pretty normal for some publishers, but WayForward?
When an eager fan queried this omission, the studio revealed that the lack of GameMaker support for Switch is the problem:
We very much want to bring Mystik Belle to Switch! As soon as GameMaker support is added, you can bet we’ll be there!— WayForward (@WayForward) September 12, 2017
The good news is this might not be a problem for much longer as the GameMaker site states that support for Switch is being explored. So we might have a happy ending after all!
