Some Pokemon in Pokemon Go are exclusive to a particular region and some may even migrate depending on events happening at the time. This means trainers may need to travel or be aware of current events to complete their Pokedex.

Here is a list of all Region exclusive Pokemon in Pokemon Go and where to catch them as well as a history of where they have been located and why.
EditSeviper and Zangoose
Seviper and Zangoose are rival Pokemon and so can only be found in opposing regions. Seviper was originally exclusive to Europe, Asia, and Australia while Zangoose occupied North America, South America, and Africa.
Since then the pair have swapped locations so Seviper is currently catchable in North America, South America, and Africa and Zangoose in Europe, Asia, and Australia.
EditPlusle and Minun
Plusle and Minun are sister Pokemon and are only available in opposing regions.
Plusle can be found in North and South America, and Africa whereas Minun lives in Europe, Asia, and Australia.
EditRelicanth
Relicanth is rare Pokemon exclusive to New Zealand.
EditHeracross
Introduced in Gen 2, Heracross is exclusive to South America and some southern parts of North America.
Corsola prefers warmer climates and is only spawns along the Equator (between 31°N and 26°S).
EditKangaskhan
Kangaskhan is generally only catchable in Australia and New Zealand, however, has been known to migrate.
Some places in Europe were able to catch Kangaskhan for a few weeks in August 2017. Then in celebration after the 2017 Global Catch Challenge, wild Kangaskhan also appeared in Asia.
Tauros is an exclusive Pokemon only catchable in the United States of America.
EditFarfetch’d
Farfetch’d is the gen 1 exclusive Pokemon for Asia but it has been catchable in other parts of the world.
Trainers worldwide were able to catch Farfetch’d for 6 days after the 2017 Global Catch Challenge.
Mr. Mime is only catchable in Europe and as of yet has not been available in any other regions
