New On Netflix This Week: The Conjuring, Disjointed Season 2, And More

If you’re looking for a scare, this week Netflix has a few additions you should make time for. In addition to new seasons of TV shows and some original comedy specials, the streaming service is adding a couple of very scary movies–and one your kids are going to love.

On the frightening front, The Conjuring arrives on Netflix on January 10. The 2013 horror film launched a franchise that includes two sequels, two Annabelle movies, and at least two more spin-off films in the years to come–The Nun and The Crooked Man.

In addition to The Conjuring, this week also sees the arrival of 47 Meters Down on Netflix. The survival-horror film follows two sisters stranded inside of a shark cage on the ocean floor, with Mandy Moore and Claire Holt starring. Rounding out the movie additions for the week is Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie.

Also premiering on Netflix is the second season of Disjointed, the original series starring Kathy Bates as a marijuana dispensary owner. The sci-fi series Colony also has its second season–which aired in 2017–available to stream.
