The second beta test for Dragon Ball FighterZ takes place this weekend, but players don’t have to wait until then to start downloading it. The Dragon Ball FighterZ beta client is now available to pre-load on PS4 and Xbox One, giving you a chance to prepare for the upcoming demo ahead of time.
The client can be downloaded on PS4 from the PlayStation Store and on Xbox One from the Microsoft Store. Players will need to have 2.4 GB of free space on PS4 in order to download the client, while it takes up 3.13 GB on Xbox One.
The beta kicks off for everyone at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET on January 14 and runs until the same times on January 16. However, those who pre-order Dragon Ball FighterZ digitally will be able to jump into the beta 24 hours early, on January 13. In order to get early access, pre-purchasers will need to download the Dragon Ball FighterZ Open Beta Early Access DLC in addition to the beta client.
The Dragon Ball FighterZ beta features seven different stages to battle on, as well as a Battle Tutorial mode and two different Dramatic Scenes. Participants will be able to choose from 11 playable characters, including some recently announced fighters like Beerus, Kid Buu, adult Gohan, and Nappa. The full beta roster consists of:
