Here’s a look at ‘dieselpunk mech’ game Iron Harvest in action

Alternate reality war game set in the world of 1920+

We’ve been looking forward to real-time strategy game Iron Harvest for years, mainly on the strength of the game’s premise and its gorgeous concept art. It’s an alternate-history, World War I-era game with 1920s-style mechs, a beautiful juxtaposition of war machines and rural European settings.

The world of 1920+, as the setting is known, was created by Polish artist Jakub Rozalski. It’s the same world that serves as the basis for Scythe, lauded as one of the best board games of 2016.

Iron Harvest is in development for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Developer King Art Games is bringing the game to Kickstarter today, hoping to fund development of the title. Scythe found success on the crowdfunding platform in 2015, when it raised more than $1.8 million from backers.
